Alla Salakhova is a Russian-Canadian mezzo-soprano based in Edmonton, AB, and a recent graduate of the University of Maryland's Maryland Opera Studio. An emerging artist performing across Canada and the United States, she sings Ramiro in La finta giardiniera, Brittomara in Heggie/Scheer's If I Were You, and Prince Charmant in Massenet's Cendrillon this season, following recent debuts as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro and Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette. She is a District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. A versatile performer of opera, oratorio, recital, and musical theatre, her passion lies in connecting with others through storytelling, music, drama, and community.
